LONDON – VoxSmart., a leading communications surveillance provider, has announced the release of its real-time Telegram Capture product, further strengthening the firm’s mobile surveillance offering for regulated industries.

The cloud-based recording solution was fast-tracked through development after receiving increased market interest in capturing the channel during the global pandemic, particularly from firms seeking to address their surveillance requirements of Digital Assets.

Telegram has seen a steady increase in popularity. In January 2021 alone, the message platform saw 100 million new users and was ranked as the number 1 most downloaded app in the world, after WhatsApp privacy concerns sparked interest in platform alternatives.

As more employees adopt hybrid working approaches, instant messaging has become a frequently used business communication channel, one often dictated by the client themselves. The compliant use of these channels continues to challenge risk and compliance professionals, however VoxSmart’s recording and monitoring solutions are helping global teams communicate with increased oversight on a vast array of different channels, from anywhere they wish to work.

As pioneers of the first ever WhatsApp Capture solution, VoxSmart is committed to keeping abreast of market trends and regularly consults with industry leaders on surveillance topics to ensure their solutions remain relevant and market leading.

Oliver Blower, CEO of VoxSmart, shared his excitement on the new developments. “We have seen the adoption of our mobile capture products accelerate significantly as more firms equip their employees with remote working-friendly compliance technology. We are extremely proud to deliver yet another pioneering solution to the market to help firms address key gaps in their global communication surveillance.”

VoxSmart’s Telegram Capture supports Android and iOS-based devices and does not require an app installation on the user’s mobile device to record text, including self-destructing messages, rich media, images, and attachments. The solution supports multi-device functionality, allowing firms to monitor telegram interactions sent from mobile or desktop versions of the messaging platform.

Other communication platforms in their development stages and to be announced soon include Signal and Microsoft Teams.
